In order to provide the required sustainable energy we need, nuclear power stations require more capacity and plant lifetime. Clearly there is no room for error or risk-taking. The analysis of the model was able to result in the life of a nuclear power station being extended dramatically and lowering the overall cost of maintenance of the plant.
